Termsand conditions

Tours are subject to availability: we recommend booking early. A booking is confirmed once we have received your payment or deposit and sent you a written confirmation. Please check it and tell us at once if anything is wrong.

You must be 18 or older to book. Every participant signs a waiver before the tour. Guests may not bring their own dogs.

Online bookings are paid in full at the time of booking. Email or phone bookings require a 25% non-refundable deposit.

The balance is due on the day of the tour for half-day and full-day tours, 30 days before departure for trips of 2 to 5 days, and 45 days before departure for trips of 6 days or more.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interac e-transfer and wire transfer. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus 5% GST. Once your deposit is paid, your price will not increase.

Cancellations must be made in writing.

Half-day and full-day tours: full refund up to 72 hours before departure, no refund after that.

Trips of 2 to 5 days: 75% refund up to 30 days before departure (the 25% deposit is retained), no refund after that.

Trips of 6 days or more: 75% refund up to 45 days before departure (the 25% deposit is retained), no refund after that.

Third-party and bank fees are not refundable.

If we cancel a tour, you may choose another tour, a tour of lesser value with a refund of the difference, or a full refund.

Weather, trail conditions and the welfare of the dogs come first: your guide may adapt the itinerary for the safety and comfort of the group. If we change a multi-day itinerary more than 30 days before departure, you may accept the change, rebook or cancel with a full refund.

Boreal Kennels is fully insured. Travel insurance covering personal injury, emergency medical costs, evacuation and cancellation is strongly recommended and is not included in our prices. Please tell your insurer about the activities you have booked.

Minimum age: 5 years for half-day tours, 12 years for full-day tours and multi-day trips. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, with up to two minors per adult.

For multi-day trips, a medical history form is sent with your confirmation. Pre-existing conditions require a doctor's signature. Please tell us about food allergies and dietary needs: we will do our best to accommodate them. For safety reasons, we cannot accept pregnant guests on winter tours.

Adventure travel in a wilderness environment involves risks. Guests must wear the safety and cold-weather equipment required by their guide. We may refuse participation to anyone who refuses this equipment, is impaired, or puts themselves or others at risk.

Boreal Kennels is not liable for indirect losses such as non-refundable flights or lost earnings.

We may take photos and videos during our tours and use them to share our activities. If you prefer not to appear in them, just tell your guide.
