Where mushing becomes a rhythm.

On a day trip you discover the sled. On an expedition, you become a musher. You harness your own team every morning, run all day through the backcountry and stop for lunch, for photos, for the dogs. Day after day your skills grow, and so does the distance between you and the last road.

Wolf tracks and moose are common companions along the trail. Each evening ends at a warm camp, with a hot meal cooked by your guide and, on clear nights, the northern lights above the spruce. The route is chosen with you and adapted to snow, ice and weather.

Campfire and heated tent at a wilderness camp

A day on the trail.

  1. Morning

Warm breakfast at camp, then harnessing your own team. You learn to pack and balance your sled.

  2. On the trail

A full day in the backcountry, with stops for lunch, photos and the dogs. You take turns leading and learn to read the trail.

  3. Evening

Your guides set up camp in heated winter tents (up to 4 guests and 2 guides each) and cook a hot meal. On clear nights, the aurora; sometimes, the howl of wolves.

  4. Last day

Where do we sleep?

In heated winter tents set up at wilderness camps, each accommodating up to 4 guests and 2 guides, with hot meals and all the camping gear provided.

When is the best time?

Will we see the northern lights?

Nothing is ever guaranteed, but every clear night out is a chance. The more nights you spend in the wilderness, the better your odds.
