DAY

1

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Whitehorse and safely drive you to the Boreal Kennels base in Carcross for the start of your Yukon dog sledding trip and adventure.

Your guide will already have got the camping and dog sledding gear all sorted out and arranged. We will help you pack your personal belongings so we are ready to go when we reach our departure location. Now time to load our husky friends into the dog trailer. A journey of about 2 hours awaits us until we reach Johnson Crossing, only a few minutes away from our desination.

The real adventure begins. Your guide will show you how to properly pack your sled bag for best performance and balance. Time to hop on our sleds and unhook the snow anchors and off we go, mushing down the trail.

At this point the barking has stopped and all you can hear is the sound of your dogs panting and the runners sliding in the snow. After several hours of dog sledding and gazing at the scenery we will establish camp for the night. Your guide will as always cook a delicious warm meal and make sure the camp stays warm and cozy.

Sleeping in a warm tent in the middle of winter always seems very comfortable. Tonight around a campfire, maybe you will see northern lights or hear wolves howling!

DAY 2

TO 6

The dog sledding adventure continues. The South Canol road heads north cutting through the Pelly Mountains.

Day after day we travel into more remote areas all stunning by their natural beauty and the wildlife that we encounter.

Wolf tracks and moose sightings are common in winter! At times on the road at times on side trails we travel our way as a team. During these 5 days you will have a chance to aquire the skills of a dog sled driver and experience the comfort of camp that your guide will provide each evening. Delicious food is a must in the bush and will help you enjoy your trip.

DAY

7

As our dog sledding adventure comes to an end, we will take time to appreciate the last hours in the Yukon wilderness. By now you have become more used to mushing and can travel at your pace, enjoying the company of your sled dogs.Once at Johnson's Crossing, our guide will drive you back to your hotel in Whitehorse. Our guides will amaze you with their wilderness knowledge and survival skills.
