DAY

1

On the first day of your Yukon dog sledding trip, we will meet at your hotel in Whitehorse and drive to our base in Carcross.

Your guide, after having introduced you to your team of huskies, will explain the methods of dog sled driving. With a little help, you will be off on your dog sledding adventure into the frozen north.

Your winter adventure begins! Mush!

You will drive your team through amazing landscapes and will experience the thrills of dog mushing. As the hours pass, you will become more used to driving the sled. Your guide will have lunch made for guests and snacks for the dogs. Our dog sledding adventure continues as we travel deeper into the wilderness to reach the location of our camp. Later at night, after a good meal and the comfort of a warm camp, maybe a chance to see the northern lights or hear wolves howling.

DAY

2

Our dog sledding adventure continues.

Today, after all the comfort of a night in a warm camp and a warm breakfast cooked by your guide, we will harness our dog teams and be off for a day of dog sled exploration. Wolf tracks and moose on the trail are common. We will mush all day, stopping for lunch, snacks and pictures. The Southern Lakes and the Coastal Mountains offer incredibly beautiful scenery and unique dog sledding terrain. With a little luck you might catch a glance of a moose or of some woodland caribou. That night at camp, you will enjoy your last night of winter camping and will have another chance of seeing the northern lights.

DAY

3

After another warm and delicious breakfast, we will pack our sleds for the journey back home. If you feel like it, go for a short snowshoe hike before we start mushing back. Your dog sledding adventure tour will make for unforgettable memories. As we mush home, you will have time to appreciate the uniqueness of the Yukon dog sledding adventure in which you have participated.

A good choice for those who want to experience a shorter version of our dog sledding expeditions. Maybe the Northern Lights will dance for you around a campfire. Once at base camp, your guide will safely drive you back to your hotel in Whitehorse. Take time to explore! Trips are customized to your expectations.
